Short version: this site collects nothing. If you email us we keep the email, and we do not give it to anybody.

Who we are
Bitwright Technologies Ltd is the data controller. Company number and registered office are added below once incorporation completes. You can reach us at hello@bitwrighttechnologies.com.
What this website collects
Nothing. There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no sign up. The site sets no cookies, so there is no banner to click. See the cookies page for the detail.
What happens when you email us
If you get in touch we will hold your name, your email address and whatever you choose to tell us about your business, for as long as we are talking and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back. The lawful basis is legitimate interests, specifically answering somebody who has asked us a question.
If we end up working together, we will also hold the things any supplier holds: contact details, what we agreed, what we invoiced and what you paid. We keep those for six years after the end of the relationship, because HMRC requires it.
Who else sees it
As few people as possible.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and sees the usual request data, including your IP address, as part of serving pages and blocking attacks.
- Google Fonts serves the two typefaces this site uses, which means Google receives your IP address when the fonts load.
- Our email provider holds any correspondence, in the same way your own email provider does.
- Our accountant sees invoices and payments, because they have to.
We do not sell data, we do not share it for marketing, and nothing here is used to build a profile of you.
Client data during a project
When we work on your systems we usually end up able to see data belonging to your customers. We treat that as yours, not ours. We access it only to do the work, we do not copy it anywhere it does not belong, and we will sign whatever data processing agreement your own compliance needs. Ask us for ours if it helps.
Where it is kept
In the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area where we can choose, and in the United States where a provider like Google is involved. Those transfers rely on the UK international data transfer addendum.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it at all. Email us and we will do it, normally within a few days and always within a month. It costs you nothing.
If we get it wrong you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would rather you told us first so we can fix it.
Changes
If this notice changes we will change the date at the top. We will not quietly start collecting things.
